Help us fund The Ice House Project!

6th Ramsgate Sea Scout Group have been awarded The Ice House in Ramsgate Harbour by the Thanet District Council as a Community Asset Transfer. We are proposing to renovate and adapt the building, which has a historical connection with our group, with the aim of creating a new Scout Hall, meeting rooms and conference facilities for the local community to use.

As well as being the new HQ for our Beavers, Cubs and Scout Meetings, the new building would serve as a Watersports Centre with opportunities for members of scouting to gain experience and qualifications in disciplines such as Kayaking, Canoeing, Powerboating, Pulling and Sailing.

This is a very exciting project for not only our Scout Group, but the local community and the chance to see an integral part of the harbour brought back into use.   However, there’s a lot of work to be done to the building so we need to raise money!

Aviva Community Funding Project will help us raise between £10,000 – £25,000 and we’ve completed a detailed application in order to apply for this.  All that remains now is for us to win plenty of votes to help us achieve this.
