covid-19 (coronavirus) update
6th Ramsgate Royal Harbour Sea Scout Group
This page provides the latest guidance and advice on how we are responding to the current coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and will be updated on a regular basis.
Last updated: 5th November 2020
Following the announcement of a four-week lockdown in England from Thursday 5 November, the National Youth Agency (NYA) has now issued guidance about what this means for all youth sector activity. From 5 November Scouts and all other youth activities will move to Red readiness level. This decision by the Government means that there can be no face-to-face activity with young people or adult volunteers. Only online meetings can be delivered until further notice. We expect these restrictions to last until 2 December, when the lockdown is currently scheduled to end in England.
UK Scouting continues to base its guidance and advice on government health advice, which can be found at www.gov.uk/coronavirus.

GETTING BACK TOGETHER SAFELY
Information for Parents
We’re working with the Scout Association who are in turn working with youth sector partners and the National Youth Agency government body to make sure that we restart safely. There’s a framework and set of guidance that we will follow when your section gets back together, based on the latest government announcements and current readiness levels.
in the meantime...
let's keep scouting!!!
We’re doing everything we can to keep our scouting going as safely as possible during the pandemic.
During the current suspension of face-to-face Scouting, we are encouraging all our members to stay connected and join in.
We’re switching to online meetings and encouraging everybody to work towards their badges and awards at home.
We look forward to seeing you in person again – when it’s safe to do so!
In the meantime, stay safe, stay well and keep on Scouting!
